Cloud migration has become a strategic investment for Australian businesses. Nearly half of Australian organizations say cloud has delivered the benefits they expected. Cloud computing has delivered agility, innovation, and operational gains, but the real opportunity lies in addressing the gaps. Datacom reported that the benefits of cloud can be limited if organizations fail to rethink architecture and ways of working.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the major cloud platforms used in Australia. Austrade (2025) reported that AWS plans to invest A$20 billion to expand digital infrastructure in Australia by 2029, positioning Australia to seize the economic opportunities that AI and other digital technology offer. In that context, our client, RWW Group, decided to migrate RWW Marketplace to AWS as a way to invest ahead of growth and ensure the platform could handle what's coming next.

Key takeaways

  • Cloud computing delivers agility, innovation, and operational gains. AWS is one of the major cloud platforms used in Australia, with a predicted investment of A$20 billion by 2029 (Austrade, 2025).

  • Our client, RWW Group, decided to migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to strengthen the foundation of Marketplace so that they can improve the experience for the organization and workforce they serve, with priorities including greater flexibility and more visibility into platform performance.

  • AWS is one of the leading cloud computing platforms, offering a wide range of services for data storage, computing, databases, networking, security, and app deployment.

  • Adamo Australia supported RWW Group in the cloud migration by a step-by-step approach. The entire migration process took 12 weeks from kick-off to production.

  • The AWS migration gives our client a more flexible foundation for better customer experience and direct performance tracking.

Getting to know RWW Group

RWW Group is a leading provider of enterprise-level workwear, PPE, and safety supply solutions. They are trusted by more than 160,000 customers across leading Australian enterprises. RWW has developed RWW Marketplace, a digital platform designed to simplify purchasing and streamline procurement operations for businesses. The platform offers access to over 500,000 products and supports more than 100 ERP, HR and API integrations, helping businesses connect procurement activities with their existing systems. By combining a broad product range with digital capabilities, RWW aims to make workforce procurement more efficient, connected and accessible across Australia.

From collaboration to action: Adamo Australia x RWW

The starting point: When growth demands a stronger foundation

As we mentioned before, RWW Group has developed RWW Marketplace, which plays an important role in connecting their customers with the uniforms, PPE, and workforce essentials. This system has been with RWW Group for more than 30 years, becoming an indispensable part of their service delivery journey. However, as RWW grows, the platform that used to support the journey seems to be not enough. Growth brings new requirements. It needs a stronger infrastructure to handle more customers, meet rising demand, manage operations more effectively, and support future development. Then, RWW Group decided to migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to strengthen the foundation of Marketplace so that they can continue improving the experience for the organization and workforce they serve.

What our client prioritizes: RWW Group expects a stronger foundation to support growing demand and track the platform performance more clearly.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the leading cloud computing platforms, offering a wide range of services for data storage, computing, databases, networking, security, and application deployment. It allows businesses to build and run applications without having to manage all their own physical server infrastructure. AWS also has a strong presence in Australia, where it has supported hundreds of thousands of customers since launching its first local cloud region in Sydney in 2012.

What Adamo Australia delivered

Adamo provides Cloud services and solutions to fit the needs of our clients. Our cloud services are backed by deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. For AWS applications, Adamo Australia designs and delivers AWS applications while migrating infrastructure to the cloud for agility and scale.

Adamo Australia has supported RWW Group in the cloud migration. The approach was a step-by-step process, beginning with moving the existing platform to AWS, setting up the new cloud environment, and preparing the system for future improvements. The entire migration took 12 weeks, from kick-off to production, to ensure a structured transition to the new environment.

Cloud architecture design

Adamo started by reviewing the existing infrastructure to understand how the Marketplace operated and identify areas that needed improvement. Based on this assessment, the team designed an AWS-native cloud architecture with scalability and reliability in mind.

Migration execution

Moving an established platform requires careful planning to avoid operational disruption. Adamo developed a phased migration plan to move RWW Marketplace to AWS in a structured way. Each stage focused on transferring the existing platform, setting up the new cloud environment, and checking system performance before moving forward. Business continuity remained a priority throughout the process. The programme took 12 weeks from kick-off to production, allowing RWW to transition to its new cloud environment through a controlled process.

ERP integration hardening

RWW Marketplace connects with more than 100 ERP, HR and API integrations. These connections play an important role in keeping business data and procurement activities in sync. Adamo focused on strengthening these integrations to improve data flow and communication between the Marketplace and connected systems.

Performance optimization

Beyond moving the platform to AWS, Adamo also focused on improving how the Marketplace performs in daily use. The team worked on platform responsiveness and system performance to help enterprise users access the platform and complete procurement activities more smoothly.

Beyond the move: What has changed

A better customer experience

The AWS migration gives our client a more flexible foundation for a better customer experience. A smooth procurement experience is essential for businesses that rely on Marketplace to manage their workforce needs. With a stronger cloud infrastructure, the platform is better positioned to support customer activities, provide more reliable access to essential products, and connect with the business systems they already use.

The AWS migration also creates more room for the company to improve its Marketplace over time. As customer requirements change, they can continue developing its platform and services to make procurement simpler, more connected, and more convenient for users.

A stronger basis for performance tracking and measurements

With a more structured cloud infrastructure, our client has a better foundation for monitoring how Marketplace performs. This can help the team track system activity, identify potential issues, and gain clearer insights into platform operations. These insights also support more informed decisions about future improvements, helping the company maintain platform performance as its business grows.

At the two-week reporting point following cutover, the Marketplace had recorded 100% uptime, with no unplanned service interruptions during that period, which is a positive number. Also, the new environment provides our client with more visibility into infrastructure health, processes, and activities.
